Where to start?

I love the summer and I love that we are having some awesomely good weather. We have been taking full advantage in many a ways...First off we have been getting together on a weekly basis with the girls and their kids and it has been so fun! We've walked the daybreak lake, had a picnic and we will be going swimming, and have many more fun times out and about keeping us busy. Another, we have been spending lots of time outside prepping and working on the yard. (pictures of the finished product to come soon).
Owen loves the outside. He loves to take my little garden shovel and dig in the dirt. He loves to walk up and down the driveway. He throws a major fit when it is time to come in.

We put our lawn in! Who know so much joy could come from green grass? Our house looks a billion times better and a lot less dust flying around. Pictured here is: steve's dad (Scott), Geoff, my dad (ART), and Steve. But not pictured that helped us....My uncle Jose who layed our concrete THANK YOU! Brad who spent 2 full days working on our sprinklers, steve's cousin Phil, uncle John, and brother Greg. Thank you all for being such work horses. I've never seen sod get layed so fast!
I had what may have been the best day of my life. hahahaha. Really, though. We went to see NO DOUBT. I have loved them since about 8th grade (over 12 years ago). They put on what I felt was the best show I have seen live. (close second would be the FOO FIGHTERS, then the KILLERS). ANYWAY...Gwen was awesome, the whole band was awesome. I have to admit they started with a big white sheet and you saw this projection of their silhouettes and I got goose bumps. then I saw the whole futuristic stage and I was a little dissapointed thinking "boring". but actually they made it AWESOME. they had projections the turned it different colors and it was all amazing. It just proved once again that LESS IS MORE. in my mind. I'm sure no one really cares, but I just wanted to remember how much fun we had. A couple little highlights...she brought Kingston out and we sang happy birthday to him,so cute, and she saved the best for last (although it is hard to say what song is my fave) they sang "Sunday Morning" very last. Thank you steve for the best Mother's day gift ever! the picture above was the best shot I could get of the stage, iphone not the best picture taker in contrasty situations.
